So Susan Wide Awake Illuminting and Brightening Palette

Where I got it: I got this from the December Glam box from Sample Bar.

What I got: This is a makeup palette from So Susan. It flips open with a mirror on one side, illuminating cream (looks more like a foundation cream, can’t see any illuminating particles), highlighting cream (a lighter shade of the illuminating cream, but no illuminating particles too) and eyebrow sculptor (comes in 3 shades, the top one is a dark reddish brown, the middle is a medium brown and the bottom is a brown with green particles). It also includes a little brush and tweezers. This must have been sitting somewhere hot previously or have experienced different temperature difference hence you can see condensation on the creams (I wiped it with alcohol wipes to disinfect).

How I find it: As you can see from the swatches, the colours seems a bit light for me (even though my face is lighter than my hand), but I could definetely use the brightening cream as a concealer!  The top and bottom brow colour give really good colour pay-off, but the middle one is quite hard to get colour out. Just my luck because I was looking for brow powder!

Overall: Initially I was skeptical about the 2 cream illuminators, but I have been using these for a few days now and I quite like it. The illuminating cream is quite good for the entire eye area especially the under eye area. I also use this on my brow bone for highlighting the area. The only thing is that is doesn’t really last and it creases on my eyes. This will last me quite a while and I will be using it as a face highlighter instead of just for the eye area.
