Clinique Colour Surge Stay Matte Eyeshadow Trio

Where I got it: I got this from the May glam box from Sample Bar.  Clinique eye shadows can be found in Life Pharmacy. Single $45, Duo $54, Trio $70.

What I got: This is a Clinique Stay Matte Eyeshadow trio in French Vanilla, Night Plum and Stone Violet.  These eye shadows are neutral tones, matte finish with no shimmer.  They are natural-looking enough for everyday wear.

How I find it: The texture is really silky and soft.  I used an eye shadow brush for application. French Vanilla all over the lid – this gives sheer color that doesn’t really show on my skin, but acts as a good base.  Stone Violet all over the lids and some at the lower outer corner – this is a brownish-taupe color which is very neutral.  Night Plum will be at the outer corners of my eyes mainly at the top – this is a dark brown colour.  I then use French Vanilla on my brow bone and inner corner and some on my lower lash line towards the middle.

Overall:  The colors are not really exciting or surprising, but it has a really nice texture and the matte finish is really good to create natural looks. With a good eye primer, the eye shadow stayed quite good.  Color is easy to build up and this palette can create a good night time smokey eye look! I think the Stone Violet can be a good color for a brow powder?

Repurchase? Probably not because of its price. I would rafter save up a little bit more to get an eye shadow palette with more colors! Lorac Pro palette? NYX eye shadow palettes? Too Faced? Any recommendations?
