Lush Toothy Tabs

In Beauty on 11/05/2013 at 16:00

Where I got it: I was sent these products to try and review, but you could get these online and at any Lush stores for RRP NZD$3.90.

What I got: I got 5 different flavors of the Toothy Tabs from Lush. They are all vegan and each box contains 40 tabs which is approx 12g. Some ingredients are Fairtrade organic. The packaging is made of recycled materials which is recyclable. Mild base of sodium bicarbonate and cream of tartar.

I got the following flavors:

  • Atomic – coffee, cardamom, clove, ginger, sea salt, ginger powder andwhite pepper powder
  • Aquatic – green tea, earl grey, lime, jasmin and seaweed powder
  • Chou Chou I love you – rose petals and lemon (my favourite)
  • Breathe of God – sandalwood, myrrh, benzoin, fennel and vanilla
  • Sparkle – blend of grapefruit, lemon, black pepper and sea salt (yes, it is a bit spicy and salty)

How I find it: I put one in my mouth, crush it by biting with my teeth. It is quite hard to totally crush the tabs into fine powder, but into small bits will be fine. I wet my toothbrush and start brushing away! The tabs does a great job in foaming up so it is you just dry brushing my teeth. I then rinse my mouth like usual and spit!

Overall: I took Chou Chou I Love You to my recent work trip and it was so much better than bringing a tube of toothpaste! I realized that all different flavors has the same taste… It must be the sodium bicarbonate..? My favorite would be Chou Chou I Love You, Aquatic and Sparkle. Go into your local Lush store and discover these interesting toothy tabs! I got my husband using it for the first few times to try out the flavors and he reckons that we can bring these to our trip to Sydney!
