Loreal Nude Magique BB Cream

Where I got it:  My sister find this too dark for her so she gave it to me to try. This is available in most pharmacies, Farmers, Kmart, etc. I think this is about $30 something? I don’t know. My sister has much paler skin than mine. I am quite tanned for an asian skin, so I have yellow undertones.

What I got This is a tube of BB cream from Loreal (picture below). This has SPF 12 and it claims to even out skin tones, provide 24hr hydration and mimics skin’s natural texture and glow. This comes out as white liquid with micro beads that if you rub it in (break the beads), it will release the pigments (or a chemical reaction that reacts with the white liquid) to match your skin tone.

How I find it:  First impression when I squeezed it out of the tube, white liquid was very fluid, so you got to be careful. I applied with fingertips directly to my face, the gentle gritty texture melts fast and within a few seconds or massaging, colour starts to change. Upon application, the coverage is rather sheer, so it didn’t really cover much of my acne scars and enlarged pores. The colour seems alright with the natural daylight so it wasn’t too dark or too light. However, after a about 20-30 minutes, the colour started to oxidize and it turned a bit orange-y… which is not something I want on my already yellow undertone skin. It is not that obvious but I do see it, even on my hands.

Overall: I don’t really prefer this BB cream by itself, I would need to use a powder over it and kind of use this as a base. The coverage is quite sheer, I can’t really comment on the hydration because my skin is quite oily so I prefer a BB cream that is not too rich. The application method is rather limited because using a brush doesn’t quite work unless you work the beads in on the back of your hands prior. It doesn’t last so long on my oily skin, even when I set it with powder. I do prefer Korean brand BB creams… but I have yet to find the perfect one!
